Below you find my full 360 degree feedback from autumn 2019. Both the 2nd and the 3rd person sentences refer to me.
The Good
You are valued by the team for your “drive” on keeping things focused while - at the same time - managing your team in a way that they feel enabled and in the loop. You are seen as a person who is easy to approach and willing to talk things through in detail.
Pragmatism & Focus
- “Let’s make sure to make the most of the time”-attitude
- “How can we deliver value faster?” mindset
- Keeping focus of meetings (even if meeting is not lead by him). Not going to far away from the main topic
- Communication: he’s able to bring a discussion to the point (esp. when multiple people are involved)
- He challenges PM decisions (now? correct prio? possible to minimize scope?)
Manage
- “He can facilitate. he makes sure that if anything is not clear he makes it clear. Especially for team members that are junior”
- Communication:
- E.g. in Standup talking about priorities and “leading” this meeting
- Communicating resource shifts
- Makes sure that PM is writing good tickets
- Brings clarity to the team
- Gives feedback to team well and timely
- Very caring for team
- Delegation works well
Opinionated
- Having a strong opinion on things and not shy of communicating them
- A lot of times those opinions are good opinions to share
Approachable
- Easy to talk to (always available and listens and follows up on issues)
- Openness: It looks like he does care what others think
Motivation/Drive
- He wants to deliver good work intrinsically
- It feels he really cares about our projects
Misc
- I like his way of structuring short sentences (summarising skills)
- He’s a nice human being and always a good vibe
- “Good mix of professionalism, drive and relaxed”
- Humble: Not having a hard time to admit his own faults (showing weakness is not an issue)
- Technical skill: Has good knowledge of frontend domain (most of the stuff we raise)

To Improve
There are downsides to your strength that seem to directly contribute to your shortcomings. While keeping things focused and pragmatic, you sacrifice.
Communication & Respect
- I sometimes feel his communication is demotivating “I don’t care” seems like “I dont give a shit” (sometimes is ok, most of the time its not) -> be more polite/”political correct”
- “Initially, I thought he was rude to stop conversations in the middle”
- The “how” about his openness is too direct/harsh. He does not let people finish their sentences
- He should not be too outspoken about his opinion because is sometimes judgemental and reflects bad on others
- Active listing was marked by multiple people to be improved
Sharing/Caring outside of FE team
- Feeling of caring mainly about HIS team members. Much more than other team members
- Communication “up” and “down” is not in balance. Feels like he likes to give “shit” to people that are not in his team, but is not as blunt with his own team members
- Outside FE team openness to help seems kinda low-ish (e.g. help on: API first movement, developer presents)
Be more Confrontative / Decisive
- (Feedback from inside the team): “Sometimes we need a decision and not always its good to involve everyone. Sometimes it’s better to say “lets just do this!“.
Misc
- Sometimes product requirements come too pre-filtered by him. But depends on the workload of the week
- His humor is somewhat special. It took me some time to understand what’s a joke and what’s real criticism. But he brings humor to the table.
- First Impression was flagged by a lot of people as a thing to improve
